One Dead, One Wounded In Hebron Shooting

The Nebraska State Patrol has arrested a man in connection with a shooting in Hebron that left one man dead and another in critical condition. 

It all began with a disturbance between several people at a home in Davenport, Nebraska around 1:30 Saturday morning.

About two hours later two men were shot at a house in Hebron.  28 year old Remington Elting of Davenport was transported to the hospital and later pronounced dead.   33 year old Reuben Elting of Davenport was flown to Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln in critical condition.

After an investigation by the Nebraska State Patrol and the Thayer County Sheriff’s Office, 21 year old Michael Lewis of Hebron was arrested for first degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony. 

Additional charges could be added pending further investigation.
