A seventeen year old was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after being shot Thursday morning.
Omaha Police were called to the Cubby's convenience store at 42nd and Redman just after 8:00 to investigate a shooting.
The victim, Donovan Richardson, was reportedly shot near 44th Ave. and Ellison and walked to Cubby's seeking help. Investigators say that an unknown suspect fired a gun from a vehicle as Richardson was walking in the area. Richardson's injuries are believed to be non-life threatening
Police blocked off the street at 42nd and Redman as they began looking for a suspect and investigating what happened. No arrests have been made at this time and the shooting remains under investigation.
