Omaha Police say a man was seriously injured after his car collided with a semi at 90th and L Street just after 10:00 Tuesday morning. The crash shut down westbound traffic for about an hour and a half.
Investigators say the driver of the semi was southbound on 90th St. turning eastbound onto L Street on a green light when the driver of the westbound Mazda ran the red light and caused the crash.
The driver of the semi was uninjured. The driver of the Mazda, 28 year old Christopher Spain, was taken to Bergan Mercy Hospital to be treated for a fractured wrist and lacerations.
