Council Bluffs is one of the five cities selected by the Iowa Department of Public Health as distribution sites for medical marijuana.
Have a Heart Compassion Care was offered a license. they have facilities in Council Bluffs and in Davenport. The Iowa Cannabis Company in Waterloo and MedPharm facilities in Windsor Heights and Sioux City were also offered licenses.
Those locations have until Wednesday morning to accept the offer.
There are 10 alternate locations on the list that will be offered a license if any of the five selected decline.
MedPharm is the only company that will provide product to the five dispensaries in the state.
