Traffic Stop Leads To Two Arrests, Meth Seizure

A man and woman are in custody on drug charges a traffic stop on Wednesday. A Douglas County Sheriff's deputy stopped an eastbound Chrysler 300 on I-80 near 20th Street after observing a traffic violation around 12:30 a.m. 

The deputy became suspicious during the stop and deployed a K9.  A subsequent search of the car turned up a cardboard box in the truck containing three bags of suspected methamphetamine weighing more than three pounds. 

Authorities also found three packages of prescription fentanyl.  The driver, 30 year old Michael Snyder, of Washington and a passenger, 32 year old Liane Ellsworth of Indiana,  were traveling from California to Indiana.

Both were arrested and booked for Possession With Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine and Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp.
