Three People Injured In Multiple Vehicle Crash

Four people were injured in a three vehicle crash near 60th and Grover Sunday night.

Omaha Police say around 7:30 an eastbound Chrysler sedan, driven by sixteen year old Joel Ortiz Jimenez, ran a red light on eastbound Grover and was hit by a northbound Chevy Tahoe. The force of the impact caused the Chrysler to spin and strike a Chevy Malibu stopped at the light on westbound Grover.

Three people in the Chrysler were transported to Nebraska Medicine with serious injuries. Jimenez was cited for Violation-Red Light, and is being treated for a leg injury. The 24 year old front seat passenger, Jose Ceballos, was transported for serious injuries to his chest. A thirteen year girl was a backseat passenger and was treated for a broken leg.

The driver of the Chevy Malibu, 28 year old Kari Anderson, was cited for No Insurance and Fictitious Plates, but was not injured. The driver of the Tahoe, 44 year old Anthenius Minor, was written a ticket for No Driver's License.

Distracted or inattentive driving by the Chrysler driver is believed to be the cause of the crash.
