Trump's Approval Rating On The Rise

There's some good news for President Trump in the latest NBC News-Wall Street Journal Poll.  The President's job-approval rating has ticked up to 43%, which is up three points from August.  71% of Americans back his deal with Democrats on hurricane relief funding and keeping the government open for three months.

But the President gets low marks on most other topics polled, ranging from his handling of North Korea and his Twitter use to his reaction to the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia.  Just a combined 33% of Americans belive Trump has accomplished a "great deal" or "fair amount" as President.

In addition, the poll showed that 53% of Americans want Congress to vote to continue the DACA program, which shields young undocumented immigrants from deportation.  23% wish Congress would take no action, thus ending the program.
