Eppley Announces Nonstop Service To Ft. Myers

It is no secret that Nebraska winters are cold and gloomy, and many people want to get away to warmer destinations to soak up some sun. Eppley Airfield officials say now it will be easier, and cheaper, than ever to get from Omaha to southern Florida with the announcement of a new, seasonal nonstop flight to Fort Myers.

Frontier Airlines will offer the nonstop service between Eppley and Southwest Florida International Airport beginning Thursday, November 9th.

Flights will run from November through the winter on one of their 180 passenger Airbus A320 planes. From November 9th through December 7th the direct flights will be on Thursdays and Sundays. Then, after December 15th the flights will be offered on Mondays and Fridays.

Steve McCoy with the Omaha Airport Authority says they are pleased to see Frontier offer direct flights from Omaha to Fort Myers. “The new flight will offer Omaha travelers opportunities to a popular leisure destination that also serves as a gateway to the Southwest Florida region. This announcement by Frontier Airlines is another testament to local travel demand supported by a strong local economy.”

To celebrate the new flight service, Frontier is offering introductory fares on the nonstop flights for fares as low as $29. Flights can be booked at Frontier's website here.
