Omaha Police are trying to piece together what happened at the Caravelle Apartments Friday night that left one person dead.
Authorities say officers were called to the apartments near Miami Plaza and Benson Gardens around 9:30 after a neighbor heard gunshots and called 911.
When officers arrived they located 40 year old Billy Allen Walker inside an apartment suffering from a gunshot wound.
Walker was taken to Creighton University Medical Center at Bergan Mercy, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say they have no suspects at this time and that there was no weapon recovered at the scene.
