Nineteen Year Old Could Spend Rest Of Life In Prison

A 19 year old Omaha man could spend the rest of his life in prison.

Jamar Milton was sentenced Wednesday to 58 to 82 years in prison on four charges stemming from the June 2015 shooting death of 31 year old Jamymell Ray.

He was given 30-40 years for Second Degree Murder, 10-20 years for Use of a Deadly Weapon, 10-12 years for First Degree Assault and another 8-10 years for Use of a Deadly Weapon.

Prosecutors say Milton, along with Shuntayvious Primes-Willis and his younger brother Jarrell Milton, arranged to meet with Ray and 30 year old Charles Fisher in Miller Park to buy marijuana.

Once at the park the three juveniles attempted to rob Fisher and Ray, then shot the pair.

Ray died from his injuries, Fisher survived and identified the three.

Primes-Willis and Jarrell Milton have already been sentenced in the case.

Milton will be eligible for parole in 34 years.
