The Pavillion at Turner Park includes a permanent 44 by 24 foot stage, a concrete area for dancing and a signature "saddle span" fabric roof that can be illuminated.   It was paid for with private donations through the Omaha Community Foundation.

The Pavillion will be used for the first time Thursday night when Omaha Performing Arts launches its 29th season of Jazz on the Green, its fourth at Midtown Crossing.

The season starts with Jeffery Broussard and the Creole Cowboys. The free summer concert series will run six consecutive Thursdays from July 11 to August 15. The concerts will begin at 7:30 and Turner Park opens at 5 p.m.

The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display around 9:45 p.m., about 15 minutes after the concert is scheduled to end.
