Southwest Airlines is upgrading it's service to the West Coast.  The airline announced on Monday that it will begin daily nonstop seasonal service to Los Angeles beginning June 8.

Southwest previously announced Saturday-only service to Los Angeles beginning in June, but strong demand for that service led to the airline increasing the service to daily. The schedule for the new service is as follows:

Omaha to Los Angeles (Sun-Fri) Los Angeles to Omaha (Sun-Fri)

Depart: 2:50 pm Depart: 9:05 am

Arrive: 4:10 pm Arrive: 2:15 pm

Omaha to Los Angeles (Sat only) Los Angeles to Omaha (Sat only)

Depart: 11:50 am Depart: 11:40 am

Arrive: 1:10 pm Arrive: 4:50 pm

Los Angeles is the largest unserved market from Omaha and the service represents the first nonstop service to Southern California since 2012.

"This new service provides a valuable link between Omaha and one of the region’s most sought-after destinations," says Chris Martin, director of airline affairs and airport operations for the Omaha Airport Authority. "This flight will benefit business travelers, leisure travelers and families as it takes off just in time for the peak summer season."
