Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium will celebrate Shark Week on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event will take place in the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium.  There will be multiple stations to educate guests on shark conservation efforts, shark husbandry, and the common misconceptions the general public has about sharks.

Guests will also have a chance to meet a diver and learn what it takes to swim with the sharks. Finny the Shark from DiVentures will be available for photo opportunities until noon each day. There will also be hands-on shark crafts for kids.

Guests can also view up to 50 sharks of 12 different species in the Scott Aquarium, including bamboo sharks, bonnethead sharks, brown sharks, chain dogfish, coral catsharks, epaulette sharks, horn sharks, swellsharks, zebra sharks, ornate wobbegongs, tasseled wobbegongs, and spotted wobbegongs.
