Attorney Maren Chaloupka told The Associated Press on Saturday that the settlements were reached Friday night in the two lawsuits filed by Matthew Livers and Nicholas Sampson.
Chaloupka, Sampson's attorney, says Sampson will get $965,000, with $515,000 coming from the Cass County Sheriff's Office. The Nebraska State Patrol will pay $375,000, and Douglas County will pay $75,000.
Chaloupka referred questions about Livers' settlement to his attorney, Bob Mullin, who did not immediately return a phone message Saturday night.
Livers and Sampson spent months in jail, accused in the deaths of Wayne and Sharmon Stock. A Wisconsin pair were eventually convicted.
