Armed with a search warrant, federal agents raided a home near 72nd and Washington in Ralston Tuesday monring where a 13 year old boy was injured by an illegal firework.

John Ham with the ATF tells Newsradio 1110 KFAB the federal search warrant is part of an ongoing investigation involving explosives in two states. Ham says they have blocked off the neighborhood as they began removing several containers of chemical components.

Ham confirms the house is owned by the same man who was arrested back in 2005 when an illegal firework seriously injured a 13-year-old boy who was swimming in a backyard pool.

Josh Berger spent 49 days in the hospital and had his appendix and part of his intestine removed.

Jeffrey Belmont was sentenced in 2006 to 15 days in jail and a year probation for illegal storage of commercial-grade fireworks.
