During Monday's weekly press conference, Nebraska coach Bo Pelini says "I don't know if the chances are real good,'' when asked about the possiblity of Martinez returning this year.
Martinez has been limited to four games because of injuries to his shoulder, hip, abdomen and foot. Pelini says the injury to the second and third toes on his left foot has not "gotten much better.''
Martinez has been the starter since his freshman year. The senior holds career school records for total offense, passing yards and touchdown passes. Tommy Armstrong Jr. has started five games in Martinez's place.
Armstrong will start Saturday when Nebraska hosts Michigan State in a key Big Ten game. Kick off will be 2:30. Pre-game begins at 9:30 on Newsradio 1110 KFAB.
