Omaha firefighters found smoke coming from the rear of a third floor apartment near 49th and Hamilton Thursday afternoon.  Assistant Chief Dan Stolinski says they initially had troubles finding the flames.

As crews began cutting ventilation holes in the roof, they found the fire burning on the third floor and were able to put it out.  There are six apartments in the building and Stolinski says the entire upper floor sustained smoke damage.

No one was injured and the cause is under investigation.
