Mayor Jean Stothert is proposing that 19 neighborhoods and business developments be annexed in 2014 

Arbor Oaks, Baywood, Brookhaven, Cambridge Estates, Eagle Run West, Linden Estates (2nd addition), Harper Valley, Mission Park, Pacific Springs, Riverside Hills, Skyline Meadows, Turtle Creek, Woodridge

180th and Blondo Business Park, I-80 Business Park, Altech Business Park, Southwestern Plaza and the area northeast of 60th and Harrison.  Miracle Hills Golf Course is also included.

 The total valuation of the annexed areas is nearly $932.4 million.  The 2010 census data shows a population of 8,752. 

City officials will provide information during a public meeting set for 6 p.m. on July 16 at Burke High School.

"It's important for the City to continue growing," Stothert says.  "This annexation package will increase city revenues and, in most cases, decrease residential property taxes in the areas to be annexed.
