The Omaha Airport Authority Board approves a master plan that includes large-scale changes to Eppley Airfield.
"It may not be as ambitious as some of the plans we saw in the 90s," says Jeff Beals of Newsradio 1110 KFAB's "Grow Omaha, "but I think it's pretty realistic."
The master plan approved on Tuesday calls for consolidated security checkpoints and ticket counters, says Beals. "It would have 28 gates instead of 20, but with greatly expanded parking."
If approved, the improvements at Eppley Airfield could top one-point-two-billion dollars.
