The Douglas County Sheriff's Department says the driver of the pick up was southbound on 204th near State Street around 6:15 Thursday morning.  Sergeant Greg Kelly tells 1110 KFAB that for an unknown reason the pickup drifted off the road and went into a ditch.

After striking a dirt enmbankment, the truck rolled and came to rest upright.   Kelly says the truck then caught fire.  Two passersby helped get the man out of the burning truck.

He was then airlifted to an Omaha hospital.  His condition is not known, but Kelly says he was moving and talking at the scene.  His name has not been released.
