A Labor Day levee breach forced the evacuation of several homes in Missouri Valley.
A levee along the Boyer River breached Monday morning, leading water to back into a neighborhood. Residents on four streets were evacuated, including Christina Martin. "A mandatory evacuation, but I was being stubborn," she told WOWT 6 News. "Waiting until (the water) got to the road. Now, it's to the road."
Missouri Valley mayor Clint Sargent says the area is not heavily populated, and officials continue to monitor the situation.
