The Iowa Department of Public Health has reported the flu death of an otherwise healthy child.

The department did not say how old the child was, provide a name and didn't say where he or she lived.  The department also says it's been notified of several probable adult deaths related to the flu

Health officials say it's not too late for people to get flu shots. The department says it was especially important for children to be vaccinated, because this year's most common influenza strain, H1N1, is hitting children hard.
