An Atlantic, Iowa woman accused of lying about her daughter's cancer diagnosis is facing additional charges.

30-year-old Leatha Slauson was charged Wednesday with child endangerment causing bodily injury and unlawful possession of a prescription drug.  Last week she was charged with child endangerment and drug distribution.

Cass County authorities say Slauson solicited donations for her 5-year-old daughter after she told people the girl had terminal cancer. An investigation found the child is not suffering from any disease.

Court documents say Slauson injected the child with a prescription drug. She is also accused of giving her cannabis oil.

Slauson remains at the county jail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Tuesday.
