A former doctor accused of killing four people with ties to an Omaha medical school will stand trial on an additional charge related to an attempted break-in in May of 2013 at the home of a Creighton University Medical School professor.


Anthony Garcia was bound over for trial Thursday on a charge of attempted burglary following a preliminary hearing on the charge.  Prosecutors say evidence links Garcia to the attempted break-in in May 2013 at the home of Creighton Pathology Dr. Chhanda Bewtra.


Garcia is also charged with first degree murder for the 2008 deaths of the 11-year old son of Creighton University Pathologist William hunter and the family’s housekeeper as well as the May 2013 deaths of Creighton Pathologist Roger Brumback and his wife.
