Four people were taken to the hospital after a hit and run crash near 56th and Ames around 12:30 Friday afternoon.

Eyewitness Vernita Hadley tells Newsradio 1110 KFAB she was behind a pickup that struck a car.  The car then struck a pole and was pushed into a gas pump at the Sinclair station.  The gas pump was dislodged from the ground.

Hadley says two women, a man and a baby were all taken to the hospital.  She stopped and provided assistance to the victims.

She says one woman had a gash on her head and the other had a serious leg injury.  Omaha Police say the baby did not have injuries, but was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

The driver of the pickup left the scene.  Police initially stopped one person for questioning, but no arrests have been reported yet.
