A 41-year-Aold woman has been accused of stealing while working as a city library director in southwest Iowa.
Mills County court records say Stacey Buick is charged with theft and ongoing criminal conduct.
A state audit released Aug. 8 says Buick repeatedly billed the city of Malvern for almost $33,000 in improper purchases and altered receipts to cover up the practice. Auditors say Buick bought personal items such as video games, groceries and party decorations. A $1,200 home theater system, a camera, a coffee machine, a window air conditioner and TracPhones also were flagged by auditors.
Buick resigned last year.
