Omaha fire crews responded to the fire at the Maytag Laundry building near 33rd and California around 7:00 Wednesday morning. The smoke could be seen several blocks away.
Battalion Chief Rob MvEvoy tells Newsradio 1110 KFAB the fire broke out on the main floor. Crews went up on the roof to ventilate the building.
The building sustained heavy smoke, fire and water damage. No one was injured and the cause is under investigation.
