The State is moving forward with plans to put a permanent traffic signal at 180th and Highway 370 where a Mount Michael student was killed in October.

Mary Jo Oie with the Nebraska Department of Roads tells Newsradio 1110 KFAB an increase in traffic is the reason they are moving forward with plans to install the traffic signal.

15-year-old Nate Lafave was killed, and two girls were critically injured in October.

The road is the entrance to Vala's Pumpkin Patch.
