Searchers have been peering beneath manhole covers and using sonar to find a teenager swept away in a Cedar Rapids storm drain.
Seventeen-year-old Logan Blake was swept away Monday night. Another boy tried to rescue Blake in the rushing water and also was dragged into the drain. But he survived and was able to walk to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The storm drain feeds into an underground pipe that runs more than a mile and empties into Cedar Lake. Rescuers haven't been able to enter the system to look for Blake because of the dangerous current. But one crew member has gone underground with a special camera.
Blake's father is holding out hope his son will be found alive.
