The Omaha City Council approved a zoning change that will allow a controversial apartment complex to be built near 192nd and Pacific Streets.
Residents had urged the council to reject the complex saying it violated the city's master plan. Heather Voegele Andersen represents the S-I-D and says despite a reduction of 50 units this may not be the proper development for this area.
The plan now calls for more than 270 units to be built and then another 200 at a later date.
Neighbors also spoke against the development at Tuesday's council meeting questioning Omaha's master plan.
