Judge Peter Bataillon allowed for a compromise in convicted killer Nikko Jenkins' treatment.
Jenkins will be housed at the prison in Lincoln but will be treated by doctors from the LincolnRegionalCenter.
Jenkins was ordered to the Lincoln Regional Center so his competency could be restored and then sentenced for four murders one year ago in Omaha. The Lincoln Regional Center refused to accept Jenkins stating they lacked space and didn't have the adequate security in place.
Officials from the Regional Center were in court Tuesday to explain further why they could not accept Jenkins. Officials testified that they did not have security measures in place for such a dangerous individual.
