The Nebraska Humane Society got a call Wednesday afternoon after a cat was found impaled by an arrow in a yard near 68th and Pacific.

The arrow was surgically removed, and Humane Society spokesman Mark Langan tells Newsradio 1110 KFAB that additional surgery may be required.

The Humane Society initially offered a $1,000 reward, but an anonymous donor has come forward to make the reward $2,000.

Tipsters can call NHS at 402-444-7800, x1,  and can remain anonymous.
