A tree nursery has donated $50,000 in trees to the city of Omaha.

The 200 trees from Lanoha Nurseries include Norway Maples, Red Maples and Honeylocust.

More than 40 of the trees will be planted Friday at Lawrence Youngman Lake. Mayor Jean Stothert and Omaha Parks Director Brook Bench will be in attendance.

Some of the donated trees are already 20 years old and 30 feet tall.

The remaining trees will be placed at several parks around the city.
