Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert announced on Friday that an Omaha firm has been selected to redevelop the Civic Auditorium site in downtown.

Tetrad Property Group says plans include four separate buildings including a 14 story building.

The complex will include office space, restaurants and shops as well as a "civic component", like a library.

If the $300 million project is approved, demolition of the Civic Auditorium would happen in 2015 with the new complex expected to be finished by 2018. The parking garage will remain in place.
