Omaha Police were called to the area of 144th and “Q” Streets around 12:45 Thursday morning after an air traffic controller from Eppley Airfield reported that someone had aimed a laser pointer at an inbound airplane in the Millard area.
The officers were not able to locate the suspect at that time. About three hours later officers responded to a disturbance call at 153rd and Drexel Street, which is in the same area.
The caller reported that some juvenile males had knocked on his door and ran away. When he got to his door he noticed one of them had a laser pointer in his possession.
Officers found an eleven year old boy nearby who had a laser pointer with him. He was subsequently released to his mother.
