The late Ray Price will be remembered at a public memorial in Dallas this weekend.
"The Dallas Morning News" says country legend's family was originally planning to hold a private funeral on Saturday, but have decided to open the service to the public and make it a "Celebration of Life."
The ceremony has also been moved from the chapel at Restland Funeral Home to Canyon Creek Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas, which can accommodate a larger crowd. Grand Ole Opry announced Eddie Stubbs will officiate.
Stubbs also took part in a memorial last weekend in Price's hometown of Mount Pleasant, Texas. A post on Restland Funeral Home's website adds that more events in Ray's honor are in the works, including a series of farewell concerts.
